Glyphius Review - An Effective Copywriting Tool?

Lately, I’ve been working with a piece of software called Glyphius that claims to improve sales. Basically, you enter some text, usually a headline or a section of sales copy and Glyphius analyzes the phrase and gives you back a score.

The higher your score is the better, and you keep on changing and improving it until you get the highest score possible.

So is Glyphius really worth its price?

Above all else, I consider myself a copywriter. Any tool that improves my copywriting is valuable, and Glyphius does that. It helps me focus my writing and improve it.

Do I know where it draws its data from? No.
Do I know if the scores it gives is a good representation of the effectiveness of my copy? No.

I DO KNOW that when I use it and increase my score, sales usually increase as well.

For example, I used Glyphius to optimize one of my sales pages (
The Anatomy Of A Profitable Squeeze Page
). It is a $7 report on creating profitable squeeze pages.

The headline is “Introducing…A Step By Step Formula For Creating Profitable, Subscriber Grabbing, Money Making, Kick Ass Squeeze Pages!”

The Glyphius score for that headline is: 378. This is one of the highest scores I’ve ever seen or achieved, and it’s no surprise that the product is converting at about 5%.

I do recommend Glyphius if you want to improve your copywriting, but it won’t do the work for you. Put in the time, utilize Glyphius, and you will see an increase in conversions.

    Hi Steve,

I have been using Glyphius but am confused by the fact that it appears to be totally illogical - for example, you said “The Glyphius score for (your) headline (was): 378″ and that this was “one of the highest scores I’ve ever seen or achieved” - However, I regularly get higher scores than that by typing in headlines and straplines which are obviously ‘bad copy’ (e.g. changing ‘Profitable’ to ‘Unprofitable’ gets a higher score with my version of Glyphius - Is there a reason for this seeming inconsistency?
